Launched in 2020 following the success of our design cohort, the Snap Engineering Academy (SEA) is dedicated to developing the next generation of software engineers. This program is designed for students who want to move beyond syntax and start building functional, innovative products.
Transition from "student" to "engineer" through a custom technical curriculum led by experienced instructors. You will dive into mobile and web development, focusing on the same technical stacks used by industry leaders. SEA projects include "painting" with Javascript, building a full-feature chat app from scratch with React Native, and engineering the prototype for our Final Showcase mobile app. Throughout the nine-week program, you will engage in weekly technical mock interviews with Snap team members, as well as receive direct project feedback and technical feedback from the team.
SEA Scholars enter the Academy as coders and leave as confident technologists ready to collaborate in professional, agile environments. You will walk away with a portfolio of shipped code, experience in technical peer reviews, and the professional network needed to launch your career in the tech industry.
