Launched in 2021, the Snap Lens Academy (SLA) is designed to inspire the future leaders of the AR landscape. This academy sits at the cutting edge of art and technology, exploring the limitless possibilities of how AR can be integrated into our everyday lives, from entertainment to utility.
SLA Scholars build new Lenses almost every day! This program is designed to take beginner AR creators and transform them into expert builders of AR worlds and experiences. Through custom creative and technical curriculum led by Snap Lens Network (SLN) creators, SLA Scholars build new lenses almost every day. You will take your artistic and technical skills to new heights, creating memorable interactions using 2D and 3D art you design yourself. Throughout the program, you will use Lens Studio to build immersive expereinces while receiving direct project feedback and technical guidance from Snap team members.
While the academy is nine weeks, the worlds you build in AR stay with us forever. SLA Scholars may graduate as pioneers in the AR space, equipped with a specialized portfolio of Lenses adn the technical foundation required to build for local and global brands. You will leave with a professional network and the skills to lead in the next wave of spatial computing.
